Brenda K. Bredvik

Brenda K. Bredvik is an oil painter who lives and works in Laguna Beach, California. Her vibrant and gestural work is influenced by her life in motion. She enjoys traveling and exploring beaches, deserts, mountains and cities. She swims, surfs, hikes, and skis; all of which inspire her layered and textured paintings. Her colorful work reflects the journey taken and the wonder of life’s exploration.

Brenda was born and raised in Michigan. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY with a BFA, and began working as a graphic designer and art director in New York City. She later began painting professionally after moving to California, inspired by her adopted state’s natural beauty and openness to innovation.

Brenda has always been passionate about art and creation. She says, “I have worked in many different areas of art– from advertising and design to photography and painting– yet never imagined doing anything else.”

Her work is owned by collectors and celebrities around the world. She has had many solo shows, group shows, juried exhibitions, and exhibited at the Laguna Museum of Art and Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Galleries.

Brenda K. Bredvik is represented exclusively in Arizona by Wilde Meyer Gallery and The Shop in Costa Mesa, CA.
